Cheer Up!!

It’s time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and this time the challenge is…..

‘A Card for a Child.

This week, as always, we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and Veronica & Pedro are offering a fabulous prize of $30 to spend at their site.

Challenge prize badge

If you use a TPS image in your creation you will receive the full $30 to spend on their gorgeous designs, and if you haven’t used a TPS image then you will win 3 Digis of your choice from their site.

When I saw the theme for this challenge I knew exactly which image I wanted to use. This image makes me think of my youngest daughter who is 13 years old. Those that know her will understand. The image is called A Little Bit Grumpy.

I’ve printed my image onto Cryogen White cardstock and coloured with Copic Markers. I’ve then cut the image out using Spellbinder Nestabilities Label Twenty-Two. The pretty papers I’ve used are from My Mind’s Eye and are from their 6’ x 6’ Designer Paper Pad - Collectable ‘Memorable’. The colours are so pretty. I’ve edged my main card using the Flourish Lace ‘Around the Page’ Punch from Marthat Stewart. The Butterfly Punch is also from Martha Stewart and is the Monarch Butterfly.

My sentiments are both computer generated and then punched out using the Curvy Label Punch and Decorative Label Punch from Stampin’ Up.

Here’s a close up of the image.

The colours I’ve used are: Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20; E49, E47, E44, E43, E41, E40; Clothes & Wings - BG72, BG70, BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, R22, R21, R20.

I’ve added a touch of Dazzling Details to the wings of the image and also the the butterfly. I’ve also added some Liquid Pearls around the image.
