Stamp Club + Birthday Cards

Last night was Stamp Club and we all made the Paper Block Holders as I mentioned earlier this week but silly me forgot to snap a picture of everyone’s creations so that I could upload to share with you all. I do however have a picture of my 2nd and 3rd one I’ve now made.

This one is using some of the lovely Bella Rose DSP.

And this one is using some more of the yummy Raspberry Tart DSP.

Paper Block Holder MIM #2

As the ladies in my stamp club are also friends and we regularly stamp together every fortnight we continued on for the night, and a couple of us into the wee hours of the morning….hehehe. I managed to complete my 3rd set of 30 swap cards for the upcoming Stampin’ Up Convention which is taking place in a fortnight down in Canberra and I also made 2 of the 3 Birthday cards I needed for a luncheon with some online stamping friends today.

I decided I would make them all using the new set called ‘Upsy Daisy’ and just vary the colour combinations and technique/method of stamping on them.

The first card I made is using the colour combination of Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. I stamped the image in Perfect Plum first and then stamped again in Pale Plum positioning the image just off skew to give a shadow effect.

Upsy Daisy Birthday 3

For the 2nd card I have used the colour combination of Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Taken With Teal and Basic Black. The image has been coloured in with markers (I’ve made my own in colour markers following Carol Dunstan’s Tutorial).

Upsy Daisy Birthday 2

This last card I made this morning after being inspired by this card Stephanie Pike made.  I was thinking blues myself and then when I saw Steph’s card I knew this was the technique I was going to use along with Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

I’m stamping again tonight with Meighan (my friend and neighbour) so hopefully I’ll have some more things to show you tomorrow too although I’m a little late with a few things I owe some members of Stampin’ Up in Oz so I must get those done and out first but won’t be able to share those until they have received them which I’m sure you’ll understand.

Raspberry Tart Paper Block Holder

This project is another MIM (Make it Monday) from Makeesha. I look forward to Makeesha’s projects each week but don’t always get to make them straight away.

I start my first Stamp Club this Friday night and decided we would all make one of these each and use some new Designer Series Papers. I knew exactly which DSP pack I was going to use for my sample to show the ladies and that was the new gorgeous Raspberry Tart papers. I just love the colour combination used in this pack. It’s nice and bright, cheery and looks so yummy looking.

So would you like to see????

Paper Block Holder MIM

The hardest thing with this was to find some small pencils. I had no luck sourcing some so purchased full length ones and my darling hubby cut them into 2 for me.

If you would like to make one of these you will find the tutorial here.

I’ll share a photo next week of all the Paper Block Holders the ladies make at club so you can see some of the other DSP we used.

Fresh Cuts for you…..

When the Fresh Cuts stamp set and matching cards came out in the US I loved them. I was so happy to see they finally made it to Australia. I haven’t had as much time to play with my new goodies as I would have liked but now that it’s school holidays I’m hoping to have a little more time to play.

This card I’m sharing with you today was another I made about a week or so ago and hadn’t managed to edit the photo so I could share. It’s done now so here it is.

For You 1 The colour combination for this one was taken from the SU Color Combos site. I knew I wanted to use Pacific Point and Whisper White so I selected those 2 colours, hit search and then selected from the combinations. I chose the one with Whisper White, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Basic Gray.

I’ve stamped the Fresh Cuts collage image in Versamark onto Pacific Point cardstock and embossed in White. This was then layered behind the card. Next I stamped the small flower in Baja Breeze ink onto Baja Breeze cardstock and added a clear rhinestone brad to the centre. I then did some tearing down the right hand front side of the Fresh Cuts card, just enough to show the Baja Breeze cardstock. I’ve then added some Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon and stamped the ‘for you’ in Basic Gray ink.

Happy Easter

I hope you have all had a lovely relaxing day today and also hope the Easter Bunny arrived at your house.

I’ve been relaxing while creating a few things. I now have a couple of days posts lined up with today’s creations and a few I made a week or so ago. I hadn’t made time to edit the photos and upload for you to see so I have done that today too.

My first creation I’m going to share is some Easter Baskets I made for my 4 girls and a friends little girl. My friend is also my neighbour so each year we have an Easter Hunt for our girls. We will be doing this tomorrow so I made these baskets as the final prize.

They have all been made using retired designer series papers as I have lots left. I’ve used Spring Fling, Summer Picnic and Love Notes along with coordinating cardstock, ribbon and brads.

Group of 5

These baskets are so quick and easy to make. The tutorial for these are by Makeesha Byl and can be found here on her website.
